Last updated: 24 August 2026. This explains what personal data we process and your rights. FM Worlds is operated by the FM Worlds team (the “data controller”). You can reach us any time at support@fm-worlds.com.
Data packs you import are stored only in your browser and are never sent to or collected by us.
To create and run your account and the game (performance of a contract); to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, and to handle moderation/takedown reports (our legitimate interests); to process purchases (contract); and to show advertising on the free tier (your consent — see section 4). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. It is required for the service to work and is not used for advertising.
On the free tier we also use advertising cookies from Google (see section 4). If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google's certified consent message asks for your choice before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can change that choice at any time from the same notice. Advertising cookies are never used for Gold members, who see no ads at all.
To keep FM Worlds free, we show ads on the free tier through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
With service providers that help us run the game: our hosting provider (OVH, in France), who also hosts the database and stores uploaded avatars on the same server; our email provider (Resend), who sends account emails such as password resets; payment providers (Stripe, PayPal); and our advertising partner (Google). They process data on our behalf or under their own terms. We do not sell your personal data. The game, its database and any avatar you upload are all held inside the EEA. Some of the other providers listed above are outside it; where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active, and payment records as required by law. Delete your account and we remove or anonymise your personal data, except where we must keep it (for example, records we are legally required to retain).
If you are in the EEA/UK, under the GDPR you can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing (including advertising), and data portability, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@fm-worlds.com.
The game is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data or show them personalised ads.
